Location: Bay Area includes San Francisco, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and San Mateo. SF ranks #1 at 38 and NYC at 15 representatives from the list.

What are they investing in?
You may not agree with the cohort partitioning, however at least in this view, it is pretty easy to see that more than half of the top ten, invested in AI in some fashion. Odd how low much lower the percentages are in AI investment amongst the 51-100 rank.
